Global AGI General Medicine・Infectious Diseases Research・Educational Promotion
Juntendo University is building a research center and educational network for international inter-university collaboration focused on Southeast Asia, conducting international collaboration research. They are collaborating with SoftBank and the University of Electro-Communications, which are known for its advanced Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) technology, as well as Saga University, which specializes in research on clinical reasoning and rare diseases. This initiative will establish a Global AGI General Medicine・Infectious Diseases Research・Educational Promotion Office, utilizing AGI to advance clinical practice, research, and education. Research will focus on: 1) global outbreaks and diagnostics of infectious diseases, 2) symptomatology and clinical reasoning, 3) rare diseases such as porphyrias and Wilson's disease, 4) efficiency in clinical practice, and 5) effectiveness and efficiency in medical education. Additionally, a Global AGI General Medicine・Infectious Diseases Research・Educational Promotion Program will be developed in Japanese and English, offering coursework and doctoral programs through the educational network of partner universities. This initiative will also build a RA, TA, and SA system concerning research and education, while enhancing participatory clinical training.
